Like splashes of colour in a white canvas, the fruits and vegetables for sale at Casa Nostra Fruit Shop stand out as the sole protagonists. The store’s new image, by Miriam Barrio Design Studio, is focused on highlighting the products above everything else and, with its neutral and monochromatic design, it is easy to pay attention to the colourful palette of goods displayed.
Located in Barcelona, Spain, Casa Nostra Fruit Shop’s interior design is divided into two areas. The entry zone, where the fresh products are offered for sale, is characterised by the presence of a white corrugated sheet. Matte white tiles invade the second zone, designated for packaged products.

All the furniture present in Casa Nostra Fruit Shop was tailor-made. One example is the set of central hubs made of metal and covered in tile that mark the path of the store. Just as the furniture was specifically designed for Casa Nostra, so too was the decorative lightening.
The store’s new image is not limited to the interior. A corrugated sheet on the façade gives Casa Nostra Fruit Shop an inviting appearance with a very individual and unique look.
In addition to the store’s design by Miriam Barrio, the designer Francesc Moret created the signage and graphic identity. Moret’s work is present all over the space: in vinyl graphics on the walls, tiles and in all the posters and merchandising.
