Faro is the name that receives the latest work developed by the design studio LaSelva. A new product that the designers David Galvañ and Manuel Bañól have developed for the Danish company of furniture and products for the home: Bolia.
Faro, is an adjustable table lamp formed by two independent pieces. On one side we find a cylindrical marble base, and on the other the tulip. In order for these two pieces are attached together, the designers chose the use of magnetic force.
The two pieces that make up the lamp FARO, are attached without the use of any type of fitting
This is possible because the marble cylindrical base has a magnet on its top. The magnetic force exerted by the magnet allows the tulip to remain stable and in the correct position.
To give a greater stability to the support surface, the magnet is covered with felt. The tulip, through its spherical shape can rotate 360º in horizontal and 45º in vertical keeping the base always in the same position. In this way the user can move the lamp easily, thereby changing the direction of light.
A contemporary product of great versatility that adapts to different spaces. The user can choose between different color combinations for the final product finish. The tulip, which closes with a piece of translucent polypropylene, is available in matt black, gloss black and aged brass. While the base is black marble.
LaSelva studio has perfectly captured the essence of Bolia. Making a design able to integrate in environments with great decorative layout. By means of simple forms that improve the functionality of both the production of the different pieces that make up its design, and in the way of interacting with users.
