The concept developed for ‘Muebles de Patio’ provides a solution to the excessive waste of material in ephemeral exhibitions
‘Muebles de Patio’ concept is focused on providing a solution to the excessive waste of material in ephemeral exhibitions, whose life is reduce to the event length. The designers were asked to develop adaptable furniture to multiple configurations in order to allow editors to show their publications with a limited budget. Ciszak Dalmas project gives a twist to industrial materials as OSB, wood and insulating Copopren and concrete blocks. ‘Muebles de Patio’ decontextualizes its function to give them a new use as display tables, seating and storage space.

Copopren blocks used in ‘Muebles de Patio’are composed by 80% recycled material, polyurethane particles deriving from other manufacturing processes. And the prefabricated concrete blocks are produced from recycled aggregate from demolition of pavements. The furniture has also been designed to minimize the use of screws and glue, thereby facilitating removal and reuse.
