A Design Awards and Competition 2017 have finished. This year, the ceremony has taken place in Italy. There are more than 300 winners under 93 disciplines of product, graphic, technology, architecture and art projects. They have receive a trophy and an international spread through a press kit and the translation of their work in 20 languages for informational purposes. Based on the excellence of each one, it’s been given Bronze, Gold, Platinum and Steel prize as a result of the decision of the international jury of A Design Awards 2017.
The A Design Awards competition is an international platform that aims to promote the best designs. In this edition, 88 countries participated, obtaining a great international repercussion. As a result, the prize gives the winners a great diffusion and publicity through an exhibition, a yearbook, commercials, credits in rankings of world-wide design and a gala for great diffusion in networks. Achieving an A Design Award is a worldwide guarantee of quality and innovation for companies and institutions. In furniture category, many pieces are integrated in order to crear the main design. A chair por Yi-An Hung, Yestudio take advantage of the ability to stack simple shapes. This way, many seats join for creating a main chair. On the other hand,Carybe Armchair por Ronald Sasson creates a simbiosis between the seat and its structure.
In lighting, we can observe minimalist designs inspired by conventional manufacturing. K table Lamp is a minimalist lamp design by Andy Vernall that recovers the traditional process of slip casting in order to create an affordable lamp. On the other hand, Léon Interactive Light by Lewis Power has the Theremin as a reference, so it is a light to interact with.
Finally, architecture surprises us with simple shapes. House Single Family Residential by Chang Kyu Lee has the iconic silhouette of a house for taking advantage of all its volume. Moreover, creates a natural relationship between inside and outside through its big windows reducing the visual impact. On the other hand, Jerry House Residential : Private House by Arisara Chaktranon & Siriyot Chaiamnuay has many geometrical forms that appear in the classic Tom & Jerry Show.
