Ara, an armchair for freetime and work

Ara is an armchair designed by PerezOchando for the Missana mark, with the intention to construct more than a furniture. Ara is developed from the idea of an space that can be used for leisure and rest, as for work on it too.more-with-less-design-magazine-perezochando_ara03

Obviously Ara is not an armchair for a desktop, but it’s to sit on it when you have those busy arrangements of calls, contacts, e-mails, video calls… An armchair to be connected doing tasks of the XXIth Century.more-with-less-design-magazine-perezochando_ara01

Ara, a different concept of armchair that gather leisure and work.

Ara is a moment to sit down and enjoy of oneself, of the loneliness, isolated of the problems and noise.A simple furniture which fulfill his two functions above-named, but at the same time are complemented with a little side table that is stuckes at the front legs of the armchair. This cofee table is an ideal accessori for the two funcionts: when we are working, we need to have a support where we can leave our gadgets, documents… And in the moments of the rest it serves us to leave the coffee cup, a book, or maybe a drink to accompany our relaxed soiree.more-with-less-design-magazine-perezochando_ara-06Ara has been constructed from the legs that were already used by PerezOchando with his Elephant Puffs. This structure is marked for thin metallic lines that are used for the livelihood of all the furniture, and to subject the seat cushion, which is totally fitted between this legs that are extruded upwards. At the same time, as we were saying, this is the structure that is used to support the side table.
