Today I would like to show you one of my latest works at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule for the project Domestic Tectonics. The project consists of the construction of an object built by folding a certain material. In my case, I made a research about chairs with different materials, always keeping in mind what I wanted to express through my design: simple shapes, vertical and horizontal lines away from organic forms, and make an object which would be ergonomic and light.
The chair legs converge under the seat, at the most critical point, which must support more weight.
One of the things in which most I have insisted is their appearance. Simple as minimalist architecture, without let see the internal functional construction.
The back and seat make an angle of 100°, in order to adopt a comfortable sitting posture.
