House I&I is the project to reform a house in the city of Donostia, in San Sebastián, by the Amaia Arana architecture studio.
The intervention manages to create an atmosphere of tranquility, calmness and warmth that runs through each room of the house. The predominant white walls and ceilings run around the perimeter being wall, door, shelf or closet.
House I&I is born from the delicacy in the details. Lighting helps create an environment that seems to float over the rest of the empty space.
House I&I is a house full of light where the materiality of the floors leads to the different rooms
The floors behave like wooden and ceramic carpets that are interspersed and defining different uses. The contrast created between the spiked wood and the ceramics, together with the good execution of the meetings, helps to define each space in a subtle way.
The whole House I&I is a constant coherence when it comes to the use of composition, color, materiality and aesthetics.
