The Catalan clothing brand of Javier Simorra establishes its Flagship Store in its fortieth anniversary in one of the main avenues of Barcelona, in Paseo de Gracia, in front of one of Antonio Gaudí’s best-known works, La Pedrera.
The study of Barcelona Mesura is responsible for making sense of the concept of this store through the idea of timelessness. Staying in time comes in contrast to the very concept of fashion, always based on new trends and adaptation in each season. However, Javier Simorra Flagship is rooted stronger than ever to the place.
The uniqueness of being in front of one of the best known modernist buildings in the world conditions the design. A light colored pebble skin covers the perimeter of the store’s 200 square meters.
Javier Simorra Flagship Store is conceived as a unique space dedicated to fashion, whose design is inspired by the place to achieve timelessness
A second skin of walnut wood seems to float on the first one, as a latticework, colonized and distributing the exhibition spaces. Between both dermis, the fashion of Javier Simorra happens.
The place is completed with metallic elements in black, such as railings or lighting elements, which allude in some way to the important works of forging made by Gaudí.
Stays like the testers, of velvety walls that grant privacy and a comfortable shelter, highlight that unique personality of Javier Simorra’s Flagship.
