A slim steel frame outlines Moskito chair by Nina Kaul

A slim steel structure with a cylindrical section painted white goes over the form of a simple and smart chair. “As slim as possible” as Nina Kail say, she designed the frame of this chair reducing to the minimum. Moskito is the chair that Nina has designed together with Bowl within the project ‘Paper made’ at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (Saale), Germany.

The Moskito’s steel diameter is just 15 mm, they are dipped in neon orange gum, to prevent marks on the floor and slip accidents. The seat shell is a prototype for an injection die casting technique with waste paper. The result it is simulated with glass fiber, epoxy, waste-paper, sugar and water.
