Novatec is a company with more than 10 years of experience known for being a major supplier for automotive exterior and interior plastic technical parts all around the world. In order to ensure the highest quality product on the market, Novatec’s manufacturing processes require a high organizational and technological level. This was the starting point and main concept for the design of its new offices in Náquera, Spain, by Valencia-based design studio tiovivo creativo.
A spinal column made of steel runs throughout the company neuralgic area as if it were an assembly line. The structure is divided into five parts or ‘arms’, one for each department according to market and customer demand (logistics, projects, production, quality and engineering / design).
Novatec combines intimacy and communication thanks to its glass that can be used as a separator or blackboard
The materials used for the new offices are mostly polymers and metals, being both materials employed for manufacturing Novatec’s products. Black and white alternate with red, blue and yellow tones used in geometric figures that remember traditional children’s games and highlight certain areas. White gives amplitude and light to the space, while the red hue refers to the company corporate colour. The idea is to strengthen Novatec’s corporate identity through the design of its new offices.
Geometry, transparency, indirect lightning; these are elements present in the new offices for Novatec that help to create a dynamic and industrial yet elegant space. The design aims to make the company employees to feel as if they were being transported inside of a machine helping them feel like an integral part of it.
