30 km away from Valencia, Somriures was presented as a new and sculptural dental clinic made by the always trending and curated team from Masquespacio.
One of the creative directors from Masquespacio, Ana Hernández, explains the interesting experience that was to create the new space of Somriures. “It wasn’t a usual project for us in which we could add a lot of small decorative details. Totally contrary to it due to the type of business we needed to design an overall serious and sophisticated design through the minimum use of materials. Due to this fact, we decided to center our design on 3 elements: a sculpture that recreates a smile; the use of turquoise green in combination with white walls and ceilings to maintain a clean image and the use of organic forms for the furniture.”
This award-winning creative consultancy was born in 2010 thanks to Ana Milena Hernández and Christophe Penasse. One of their distinctive factors was the combination of interior design and marketing to create fresh and innovative proposals.
The owners of this space followed for years this creative consultancy and decided to contact them to refurbish their clinic.
The outstanding result is a sculpture made from 2884 wooden strips hanging from the ceiling to create a smile.
Colors were kept soft within the consultancy’s strong character on that matter, where green and white are mainly used and some contrast is added through details in gold, brown and dark blue.
Through a reduced number of materials, they ended up creating Somriures. A different project that still keeps their essence.
