wood+plastic take-away cutlery set by Ricardo Randi

Ricardo Randi is a product designer and art director made in Italy. He  found the wood+plastic concept during a project for the branding of a restaurant in Italy. He found that  market for nice disposable sets was heavily lacking,  that’s why he decided to develop an appropriate take-away cutlery set for the restaurant.

Thewood+plastic design is based on  the combination of both materials wood and plastic. The solution brings the best of both worlds by combining a plastic recyclable head piece and a re-usable wooden handle. The wood offers a soft and elegant touch, while the plastic provides a functional feature.
